I'm the owner/artist behind the lens at Melissa Driggers Photography, and I'm so glad you're here! If you love to be pampered, you're in the right place!
I've been a professional photographer since 2017, but my photography experience dates all the way back to 2003. In 2021 I made the decision to focus purely on expectant mommas. So now I'm proud to call myself a Fairfax County maternity photographer.
My husband and I both grew up in Northern Virginia and are now happy to call Fairfax County our home, where we live with our beautiful daughter and our dog. We've lived all over the world thanks to the military, and I'm grateful to have been able to see so many places through my lens!
I've found my passion in maternity photography, and I can't wait to talk to you! I look forward to getting to know more about you and your story.

After paying the creative fee to secure your date and time, you can select from the digital packages below. This can be done before or after your session. Pick the Basic before the session and want more after gallery delivery? No worries, you can still upgrade and pay the difference.

Step 1:
The creative fee covers my time and talent as your photographer, to include but not limited to professional editing, travel time, and prep time. The creative fee is required to reserve your session date and time and is therefore non-refundable.

Q: How long have you been a photographer?
A: Photography has been a part of my life since I was just a teenager in high school learning how to shoot in manual on a film camera. I got my first DSLR as a college graduation gift from my parents, but it wasn't until I had my daughter that I really started dreaming of making photography my career. I officially opened for business for the first time in 2017.
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: I primarily shoot with my Canon R6 camera, a Canon 100mm lens, and a Canon 50mm lens. But like most photographers, I have lots of stuff on my wish list for the future lol!
Q: Do you offer any printed products?
A: Absolutely! My main offerings are print collections, wall art, and a few different types of photo books, but that's not to say I won't take custom orders. My hand-picked professional print lab has lots of amazing products that I would love to talk to you about! I just can't possibly list them all on my price sheets. So feel free to ask what else I can offer you!
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: I do! To help you out financially, you have the option to choose your digital package ahead of time, and we can split the payments up depending on how much time we have until your session. All payments must be completed prior to gallery delivery. Photography is an investment, and I want to be able to help make it more budget friendly.
Q: What if I don't know what to wear?
A: For starters, my clients have access to my beautiful selection of dresses to wear to their styled maternity session. Secondly, I am here for you from the very first contact till the very end, and that includes helping you with styling advice for the whole family. We can chat about colors, styles, jewelry, hairstyles, and everything in between! Remember, mom's hair and makeup is included!
Q: How do I book a session?
A: I'm so glad you asked! Simply get in touch with me via my contact form, and we will get the ball rolling! Your date on my calendar will be officially reserved with a paid non-refundable creative fee and a signed contract!

Every session starts with a conversation! If you've reached this page, you've already taken the first step in contacting me. If you're still not quite ready to book, I am more than happy to do a phone or email consult to discuss any other questions you might have for me.
Booking
Once you're ready to book, you'll receive an invitation to schedule your session if we haven't already discussed a date. Then you'll get a booking proposal where you'll pay your creative fee and sign your contract. After that, you'll get access to your client portal where you'll find everything pertaining to your session, to include your invoices and any other forms I might need completed.
Prepare
After completing your payment and contract, I'll send you a guide on how to best prepare for your session. I'll also be staying in touch to finalize all of the details along the way so you're free to ask any questions as they come up as well. We'll schedule a dress fitting prior to your session and go over anything necessary. I'm here for you 100%!
Session
A few days prior to our session, I'll reach out to confirm our time and location. This is a great time to ask any last minute questions or discuss any ideas you may have for your session. You'll get your hair and makeup done the day of the session, and then we will meet at the location where I will have the dress(es) and a popup tent ready for you to finish the look!
After the session
My turnaround time for session galleries is 3 weeks, but I always try my best to get them done faster. I will send or post sneak peeks for you because I know how hard it is to wait! Once you receive your gallery, you'll be able to select your digital package and any prints and products you'd like to purchase.
Finishing Up
After we've completed your session and you've received all of your digitals and print products, I hope you will take the time to provide a review on Google and/or Facebook. Word of mouth is so important to small businesses like mine!
